Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol)
Vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol) serves as a cofactor for several enzymes and keeps oxidation from occurring that could cause a harmful effects in the body. Vitamin E could be found in almond, asparagus, Brazil nuts, and broccoli. Vitamin E protects fats, cell membranes, DNA, and enzymes from damage. It improves your immune system and reduces the risk of most fatal heart attack in men. You can use it by drinking liquid that have Vitamin E inside it. It is the best way to absorb it in your body. These are the recommendations for daily use: Men:10 mg alpha TE (15 IU) Women: 8 mg alpha TE (12 IU) Pregnancy: 10 mg alpha TE (15 IU) Lactations: 12 mg alpha (18 IU). You would have contact your doctor if you have: bleeding or clotting problems, Cystic fibrosis, and liver disease, but it should not occur over 50. The side effects are breast enlargement, diarrhea, and nausea.

Vegetables

Spinach
Spinach is used for anemia, colitis, eyes, liver, nervous system, poor digestion, circulations, constipation, kidneys, lymph system, skin problems, and thyroid glands. It is a good source of calcium, phosphorus, Vitamin A, iron, potassium, B complex, magnesium, sodium, and chlorophyll. For spinach you would look for dark green leaves, the darker the color the more nutrition. Spinach is a laxative and the more you consume the more laxative you might get. For some people having spinach juice twice a week could be enough for someone. Spinach is high in oxalic acid and should be avoided if you have kidney stones, gout, rheumatoid, arthritis, osteoporosis, and those who stomachs are easily upset. Spinach is good for some people, but not a choice for me. There are three vitamins in spinach and they are Vitamin C, Vitamin B-6, and Vitamin A.

Asparagus
Asparagus is used for anemia, bowl aid, gout, nervous system, rheumatism, blood purifier, eye problems, kidneys, prostate, and skin problems. It is also a good source of potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, choline, Vitamin B-1, folic acid. Asparagus is best when you buy it in season (April to June), but is now widely available all year. Asparagus is a natural diuretic. It has been known to make urine to go black and to smell strong which is perfectly natural and will soon pass. Personally I don't like asparagus, but it is good for you. The three main vitamins in asparagus are Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and Vitamin B-6.

Cantaloupe
Cantaloupe is traditionally used for bladder problems, digestive tonic, skin disorders, constipation, and kidney problem. It is also a good source of Vitamin A, B-complex, and Vitamin C. To test it to see if it is fresh you would put your finger into the bottom of the melon where the vine was attached. You should be able to push slightly inwards and when release, the melon should rebound. Melons are best drunk by themselves. Therefore, do not combine with other fruits, melons, or vegetables. Personally I love cantaloupe, but never tried it in a juice. The three main vitamins are Vitamin C, Vitamin B-6, and Vitamin B-12.
